Hey, I’m Dave.
I’ve been writing on the internet since 2001, back when blogs were the social media and nobody had heard of an algorithm. A lot has changed since then. I haven’t stopped writing.
I’m a tech guy by trade, a curious person by nature, and somewhere in the middle of counting down the days to retirement (yes, there’s literally a countdown on this site, I’m not sorry). When I’m not working, you’ll find me reading, tinkering, following model trains, or going down whatever rabbit hole caught my attention that week.
What do I write about?
Honestly, whatever’s worth paying attention to. Technology, politics, current events, the occasional deep dive into why childhood food tastes better than anything you’ll eat as an adult. I’m not trying to be a journalist or a pundit. I’m just a person with opinions, a decent keyboard, and too many browser tabs open.
I care a lot about truth, especially in a world where misinformation spreads faster than the corrections. You’ll see that thread running through a lot of what I write, even when the topic seems unrelated.
Why keep a personal blog in 2026?
Because not everything worth saying fits in a post, a reel, or a thread. Some things need a few hundred words and a place to live permanently. This is that place.
Thanks for reading. Stick around, there’s always something new here.
