Plenty of Storage is available

[caption id="attachment_71" align="alignleft" width="300"] Plenty of Storage is available[/caption] The closet doors have been painted and are ready to be "doorknobbed." We have two large rolling storage shelving units that are going to look great in there. The last "half" closet on the end is specifically for computer items and has a hidden surprise inside. Our rolling shelving units fit perfectly inside of each closet and keep everything nice and organized.

Half a ceiling is better than no ceiling!

[caption id="attachment_72" align="alignleft" width="224"] Half a ceiling is better than no ceiling[/caption] The ceiling tile we picked is simple and clean. We didn't want to get too fancy and make it look lower than it is. Btw, my head does fit under the bulk-way without touching. So, beware, if you are taller than 6'2". We also opted for all new lighting and electrical. Lots and lots of outlets and the dimmers for the lighting are great!

Painting almost finished

[caption id="attachment_70" align="alignleft" width="300"] Painting almost finished[/caption] The walls have been primed and the first coat of Dover White is on. Thank goodness Sherwin-Williams had a 30% off sale this week. It sure it alot easier to paint when you don't have to worry about edges. Rolling...Rolling...Rolling

Finishing the Drywall

[caption id="attachment_69" align="alignleft" width="300"] Finishing the Drywall[/caption] The drywall is all mudded and ready for finish sanding. It looks like we will be painting on Tuesday night. Then on to the ceiling! You might ask why the drywall is blue (lilac to Wendy) In situations such as basements you use the blue board because it has special inhibitors for moisture and mold.

Burn, baby, Burn

[caption id="attachment_68" align="alignleft" width="300"] Burn, baby, Burn[/caption] This is what happens to old 2X4's and scrap lumber at the Keys Household. Our waste company will not take wood that has nails in it. This is the easiest way to remove them. Especially because Dad seemed to have an endless supply of nails in each and every board.
